Research Interests: Broadly, I am interested in understanding how we can make undergraduate STEM courses more equitable and inclusive spaces. I am particularly interested in understanding how students' identities influence their experiences in undergraduate biology courses, and how we can make our classrooms more welcoming and inclusive places for all students.
About Me: I grew up in Houston, Texas and earned by B.A. in Biology at Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington. While working as a Teaching Associate at the University of Washington in Seattle, I developed my interest in biology education research and how to use this research to create a more inclusive environment in STEM undergraduate courses. In my spare time, I really enjoy trying new recipes, hiking, and exploring new outdoor spaces such as National Parks.
