Dalia Aguilar
Former undergraduate researcher
Research Interest: I was aware of the changes and the impacts of active learning in a classroom setting as a student - I am now part of the research I was once under. As a first generation college student, being a minority, working two jobs and commuting for at least 1 hour, I feel it is extremely important that teachers try to find the most effective teaching style and I am excited to work on a project looking at the impact of out of class videos on students in an active learning class.
About me: Although I have grown up in Phoenix for the most part, I have also lived in California where I was born, Washington, as well as Mexico for a couple of years. Culture and diversity are very important to me as well as religion. The more I learn about religion, the more I appreciate science as well as the motives behind people's behavior. I have a pretty big family which I enjoy going home to and spending my free time with.
