Virginia Downing

Former non-degree seeking graduate student and Academic Success Coordinator

Former Academic Advisor in the School of Life Sciences and researcher in the lab.

Now she is a PhD student at the University of Wisconsin Madison in Educational Policy.

I am a Kansas City, Kansas native and received both my bachelors and masters in the Midwest (University of Kansas '12 and University of Nebraska-Lincoln '15). I am currently an Academic Success Coordinator within the School of Life Sciences and have a passion for student success and development. In my free time I love to read, write, and explore new places through food, art, and culture.

I am excited to be working on a project in the BER lab that focuses on student social identities in the active learning classroom.
