Christian Wright
Former postdoctoral scholar
Current position: Instructional professional in the School of Life Sciences at Arizona State University
Research interests: Developing programmatic assessments in biology, identifying student conceptions about the core concept of systems, and exploring how different groups of students perform differently on assessments
About me: Originally from Ohio, I completed my Ph.D. in Biology at ASU studying Gila monsters and I am now pursuing a career in discipline-based education research. In my free time, I enjoy backpacking, watching sports (Go Bengals!), and spending time with friends and family.
Projects completed as a postdoc in the lab: (1) Identified exam bias for gender and socioeconomic status in introductory biology courses and (2) Worked on the General Biology BioMaps programmatic assessment that will assess student conceptual knowledge of the core concepts in biology.
