New lab publication: Student Identities and Perceptions of Instructor Humor in College Science Cours

We are happy to announce a new lab publication entitled "Don’t Joke About Me: Student Identities and Perceptions of Instructor Humor in College Science Courses" that was published in a special issue focused on diversity and inclusion in the Journal of Microbiology and Biology Education (JMBE). Congrats to Katey and Erika for their hard work on this project, which stemmed from a dataset that was collected in a biology education research CURE that Katey and I taught. We had previously identified gender differences in student perceptions of instructor use of humor, but this new paper dives into differences based on other social identities such as LGBTQ+, religious affiliation, and political affiliation.
