Sara heads to DC for the 2019 ASCB meeting

Sara travels to Washington DC for the annual American Society for Cell Biology (ASCB) meeting. She will be presenting a poster entitled "Factors That Predict Life Sciences Student Persistence In Undergraduate Research Experiences" and she will be participating as a mentor for the ASCB FRED mentoring program. The Faculty Research Education Development (FRED) Mentoring Program is designed to promote grant funding success for junior faculty at minority-serving institutions (MSIs) and other institutions with a strong commitment to recruiting students from backgrounds underrepresented in STEM to the field of cell biology.
