ASU's Diversity and Inclusion Science Initiative hosted a conference and the lab presented on its work focused on equity issues.

Liz presented a talk entitled "From conflict to common ground: A call to use cultural competence in evolution education."

Taija and Katey presented a talk entitled "To be funny or not to be funny: Student perceptions of instructor use of humor in college science classrooms."

Virginia and Katey presented a talk entitled "Learning anxiously: How to make active learning less anxiety-inducing."

Katey presented a talk entitled "Student characteristics that influence academic self-concept."
