Sara was one of the invited speakers for the 2017 Undergraduate Biology Education Research Gordon conference. Her talk entitled "Who Gets to Participate in Undergraduate Research and How Course-Based Undergraduate Research Experiences Can Make Scientific Research More Inclusive" highlighted some of the recent work from the lab that is focused on identifying the unwritten rules of undergraduate research.
Katey presented a poster on the impact of social identities on students' academic self-concept and another poster on the experiences of students with anxiety in active learning biology classrooms.
