Sara was awarded three teaching awards from ASU: (1) the 2017 School of Life Sciences Innovation and Excellence in Teaching award, (2) the 2017 College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Zebulon Pearce teaching award, which is the highest teaching award in the college, and (3) the 2017 Faculty Women's Association Outstanding Faculty Mentor award.
