New lab publication: What’s in a Name? The Importance of Students Perceiving That an Instructor Know

We are happy to announce a new lab publication that just came out in CBE Life Sciences Education: "What’s in a Name? The Importance of Students Perceiving That an Instructor Knows Their Names in a High-Enrollment Biology Classroom." We found that students report many benefits that result from an instructor using their name in a large (150+ students!) classroom. We also found that the instructor doesn't actually need to know every student's name - many of the students perceived that their names were known, but the instructor did not actually know their names.
