ASU's Institute for Teaching and Learning (ISTL) hosted its first university-wide Learning Innovation Showcase. It was an opportunity to explore ASU's innovative work in teaching and learning, network with other faculty members, and discover new collaborators.
Michael and Katey presented a poster highlighting new data on the impact of the BioBridge program on incoming biology students in the School of Life Sciences. They are working on turning these data into a publication!
Christian presented a poster of his postdoc work that found that cognitive difficulty and the format of exams predicts gender and socio-economic gaps in exam performance of students in introductory biology courses. He has a publication on this work that is currently in the review process.
