We have a new publication out in the June issue of CBE Life Sciences Education that describes the curriculum and impact of a high enrollment course-based undergraduate research experience (CURE) that was developed and taught at Stanford University. In this course, students spend 10 weeks characterizing a novel mutant p53 protein that was isolated from a human tumor. We found that students show gains in their thinking like a scientist and ability to analyze data.
Many thanks to collaborators from Stanford - Daria, Veena, Pat, Jamie, Tim, and Martha - for a great team effort! To check out the article, please click here. This article also got featured on the CUREnet website and as one of the CBE LSE Highlights of 2015!
