Sara gave an invited talk entitled "Integrating teaching and research in undergraduate biology lab courses" as part of a Vision and Change symposium at the national Botany 2014 meeting in Boise, Idaho. She discussed how course-based undergraduate research experiences or CUREs are a way for faculty to engage students in the process of research in a lab course - which can benefit their own research at the same time.
