The LEAP scholars program is a program funded by the National Science Foundation to help transfer students get involved in undergraduate research. Students receive a scholarship to participate in the program where they learn about how to maximize their research experiences. This four-semester LEAP program includes: Learning about research, Engaging in Research, Advising in research, and Producing research. Through this program, students primarily conduct scientific research in an ASU faculty member's research lab. They also learn more about undergraduate research by conducting an education research project on the topic of undergraduate research.
